In this context, projects carried out under the Research and Collaborative Challenges (IRC) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintur.gob.es\/portalayudas\/agrupacionesempresariales\/Paginas\/Index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovative Business Clusters (IBA)<\/a> programmes play a key role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, we are <strong>highlighting two flagship initiatives<\/strong> that reflect this mission: &#8220;Wow in the Classroom and Marsupial NextGen. Both projects aim to <strong>transform the use of disruptive technologies in the education sector<\/strong> and strengthen the competitiveness of EdTech startups, facilitating a more modern and accessible education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Marsupial_NextGen\"><\/span>Marsupial NextGen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Marsupial NextGen is a significant evolution of the Marsupial tool that aims to <strong>transform the integration of editorial content in the EdTech space<\/strong>. Since its widespread adoption in 2010, the Marsupial system has seen few improvements and is only available in Spain and South America, supported by platforms such as Moodle and Blinklearning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marsupial NextGen uses <strong>LTI 1.3<\/strong>, the protocol defined by 1EdTech (formerly IMS Global) that is becoming the global standard in all Learning Management Systems (LMS). This development enables more efficient and secure integration of EdTech content through an international, standardised protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You may be interested in<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/tresipunt.com\/en\/lti-learn-about-it-and-its-benefits\/\">What is LTI?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 3ipunt, we were involved in the definition of use cases and prototypes, as well as the implementation of several developments to implement this integration based on LTI 1.3, such as licence and content management, or integration with Microsoft Teams. In addition, the project has implemented the <strong>Entitlement Store<\/strong>, also based on LTI 1.3, for licence management, with an additional layer of security provided by blockchain technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Workflow\"><\/span>Workflow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2022, the Edutech Cluster has set up a working group, involving cluster members and in collaboration with sector agents and 1EdTech, to carry out the project, from defining use cases to development and piloting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Marsupial Converter<\/strong>: We have created a Marsupial to LTI converter to help publishers, educational institutions and applications adopt the new protocol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Licence Management<\/strong>: Define the extension of the LTI standard for licence management on a global level to align Marsupial&#8217;s functionality with LTI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>LTI to Moodle<\/strong>: Marsupial LTI to Moodle content conversion plugin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Google Classroom<\/strong>: Definition of use cases and development of licence extension in LTI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Microsoft Teams<\/strong>: Definition of use cases and development of licence extension in LTI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blockchain<\/strong>: Traceability, personalisation, authorised content and security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"User_Research\"><\/span>User Research<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>User research type applied research to <strong>validate the technology of the project<\/strong>. To work on certification and publication, the collaboration of the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), an institution that is part of the cluster and a member of the 1EdTech board, will be
