Integration with academic systems, scalability and the ability to respond to unforeseen circumstances are factors that make all the difference. <\/p>\n\n<p>This is the case with <strong>San Jorge University<\/strong>, an institution that has been using Moodle for years and which, in partnership with 3ipunt, has developed its virtual campus into a <strong>fully integrated platform, ready to grow and adapt<\/strong> to the new challenges facing higher education.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_university_with_a_clear_commitment_to_innovation\"><\/span><strong>A university with a clear commitment to innovation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usj.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Jorge University (USJ)<\/a><\/strong> was founded in 2005 and is part of the San Valero Group. With around <strong>7,000 students<\/strong>, its aim is to provide a well-rounded education that prepares students to meet the professional challenges of a constantly evolving society. <\/p>\n\n<p>Despite its growth, the university maintains a culture strongly characterised by <strong>innovation, a close-knit atmosphere and continuous improvement.<\/strong> As Daniel Jim\u00e9nez, head of the platform and of Teaching Innovation, explains:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2018We are a young university and we have had to learn quickly. This has left its mark on the organisation\u2019s culture, reminding us of the need for daily learning and constant adaptation.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" main objective was to have an <strong>environment capable of integrating fully with their corporate systems in order to automate processes<\/strong> that, until then, had represented a significant workload.<\/p>\n\n<p>The main needs included:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automate the synchronisation of users, courses and enrolments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate Moodle with the academic management system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve performance during peak access times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have access to local, specialist support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have a flexible platform a Moodle Premium Partner<\/strong>, which supported the institution throughout the entire process of developing its platform.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the <strong>migration and upgrade of the virtual campus<\/strong>, the project involved the development of a <strong>bespoke plugin<\/strong> that connects Moodle to the academic management system via web services.<\/p>\n\n<p>Thanks to this integration, the following are now synchronised automatically:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cohorts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subject groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This automation significantly <strong>reduces the amount of manual work<\/strong> and ensures that academic information is always kept up to date.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" growth.<\/p>\n\n<p>As Daniel Jim\u00e9nez explains, the most noticeable change has been the increase in the number of users, although the real success lies in all the work carried out to make that <strong>growth possible without compromising the stability of the campus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2018The number of users has grown exponentially, and that is perhaps the most striking change, but we believe that what matters most is all the work we have done to make that increase teaching tools, two aspects in particular stand out at San Jorge University.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the one hand, <strong>integrations<\/strong> with other corporate applications, which have simplified the work of the technical team and the teaching staff.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tresipunt.com\/en\/moodle-elearning\/moodle-app\/\">official Moodle app<\/a><\/strong>,
