From the classroom to the team: The success of young talent at 3ipunt

At 3ipunt, we firmly believe that technology companies have a responsibility that goes beyond business: educating the next generation. That is why our partnership with educational centres such as ETP Xavier (a vocational training centre run by the Javerianas Foundation in Barcelona) is a key part of our team culture.

Internships are not just an academic formality; they are a real bridge to the world of work. Today, we want to share the experience of two colleagues, John Carlo and Sebas, who started out as students and are now an integral part of our team.

Technical background: John Carlo’s experience

For John Carlo, his time at the center was crucial in helping him develop rigor. He particularly highlights how the teachers taught him to “understand the code from the smallest details,” a vital analytical foundation before tackling large projects.

This strength allowed him to quickly integrate into 3ipunt, where he went from initial nerves to feeling that he was contributing real value, with guidance from leading figures in the team, such as Zafra. “What motivated me most to stay was seeing that I was really adding value to the team and, at the same time, having mentors from whom I could continue to learn,” he says.

John Carlo’s advice (on AI): “AI is a powerful tool, not a replacement for hands and brains. Now is the time to ‘code’, read documentation, and ask seniors. There are no shortcuts to truly understanding how technology works.

Learning to learn: Sebas’s case

Sebas emphasizes a critical skill in our sector: adaptability. Beyond basic knowledge, he greatly values having learned to “seek out information and continue learning constantly” during his time at the Foundation.

Her welcome at 3ipunt was marked by genuine support. She fondly remembers her early days collaborating with Nando on tourism data for Andorra and, in particular, her training in Moodle with Antonio Mazano, with whom she enjoyed working very much.

For Sebas, the deciding factor in staying was the human aspect: “I was motivated by the friendly atmosphere and good working environment at the company, as well as the conditions and the certainty that it was a place where I could grow professionally.”

Sebas’ advice: “Work hard and take advantage of everything you can learn. If you find a good place, prove yourself by working well and contributing to the company; it’s the best way to grow as a professional.

Our commitment

Stories like those of John Carlo and Sebas reaffirm our commitment: when young talent arrives with a solid educational foundation and finds an environment that welcomes and nurtures it, success is shared.

Thank you to ETP Xavier – Escola Tècnica Professional and the Javerianas Foundation for helping us train the professionals of the future!
