One of our latest success stories is our collaboration with the College of Pharmacists of Girona (COFGi), an organisation that brings together pharmacists from the counties of Girona and ensures the correct professional performance of its members, guaranteeing a quality service to society.
The challenge: training community pharmacists
The COFGi identified the need to transform the theoretical-practical classroom training they had into an exclusively online training. This specific training provides community pharmacists with the methodology for the correct development of a Pharmacotherapeutic Monitoring Service with Personalised Dosage Systems (SPD) for polymedicated people on chronic treatment who have difficulties in following their treatment.
This service involves not only dispensing medicines, but also assessing, coordinating, preparing and monitoring treatments. Although they had theoretical training, the lack of a practical component hindered the effective application of knowledge on a day-to-day basis.
The solution: Developing an interactive simulator
To meet this need, 3ipunt has developed an innovative interactive content that simulates real-life situations and provides all the necessary tools for any pharmacy office to comply with the legal requirements for preparing Personalised Dosing Systems (PDS) within the Pharmacotherapeutic Follow-up Programme (PTS).
The project involved the detailed definition of all the elements necessary to develop a pharmacotherapy monitoring service with SPD in the pharmacy office. It aimed to ensure safer and more efficient use of medicines by patients, contribute to the prevention and resolution of drug-related problems (DRPs) and improve compliance and adherence.
Results: satisfaction and training success
The implementation of this solution has delivered outstanding results:
- Exceptional completion rates: Over 94% of participants successfully completed the programme, reflecting high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
- Enriched learning opportunities: Incorporating features such as gamification and professional development tools has significantly improved engagement, retention and knowledge acquisition.
- Positive assessment of the practical approach: 61% of respondents felt that the combination of theory and practice was very good.
- Effective teaching materials: 73% of respondents rated the materials as very useful.
- Professional usefulness: 95% of respondents considered the knowledge gained to be very useful for their professional development.
- High levels of satisfaction: 77% of respondents said that the training had exceeded their expectations in a very positive way.
